Job Description Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in the pool area and keeping facility clean.
Minimum Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Skilled as a Lifeguard
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patrons in spoken and written standard English
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Skilled in, or potential for working effectively with a diverse, multi-ethnic clientele
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Under 18 with work permit, high school diploma or equivalent and 12 to 18 months related experience or required course work/certification. Required to possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate; current American Red Cross CPR/FPR Certificate. No substitutions. Lifeguarding certification is absolutely required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- During the modified re-opening of the Natatorium/Pool, must be able to work assigned shifts between the working days and times Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
- As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
- A background investigation will be conducted prior to the offer of employment. A signed authorization for the release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
