participate in mussel (Unionidae) restoration activities involving propagation, stocking, in-situ bioassays, and water quality sampling.
Some travel is expected for training workshops and/or scientific conferences.
The position is funded for 2.5 years. The intent is to continue the position beyond the 2.5 years if more funding becomes available.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires an Associate's degree or two years formal training in subject matter directly related to the project or program and at least 3 years of experience directly related to the project or program OR a B.S. degree in Biology, Environmental Science or a closely related field and one year of experience directly related to the project.
Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. degree in Biology, Environmental Science or a closely related field.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in aquaculture systems and with a desire to learn about freshwater research.
