The preferred hiring range for this position is between $48,607.26 - $63,460.80 Annually. Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. This is a full-time, exempt, position. The Operations Specialist IV (Aquatics Operations) is responsible for all operations relating to the use of a complex set of aquatic facilities to promote the safety, convenience and enjoyment of the users. Oversees and participates in the daily scheduling and operations of swimming pool activities and events, including supervision of lifeguards and other workers. The Operations Specialist IV (Aquatics Operations) needs to have thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, and other swimming pool equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Working independently, leads development, execution and evaluation of a set of comprehensive programs for a core Departmental business function, OR directs the overall operations, services, staff and maintenance of the largest recreational facilities. Reports to a Management Specialist I or II.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in recreation, park management, therapeutic recreation, business administration/management, public administration or closely related field.
Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in park management or multi-faceted recreation center management providing a variety of recreation programs in the area of assignment; two (2) years of the required experience must have included supervisory duties.
