Job Summary/Basic Function:
Provide exceptional leadership, organization, administration and supervision of all aspects of the men's and women's swim program. Serve as the aquatics director for the pool facility.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for mentoring and overseeing the development of each student-athlete in the men's and women's swim program. Establish a culture and atmosphere within the swim program where all participants appreciate the experience while committing to maximizing their potential in both their academic and athletic endeavors. Create training plans and provide instruction for swimmers that will maximize their ability to perform. Responsible for budget management and all administrative responsibilities associated with the swim program. Ensure the program is in compliance with Centennial Conference and NCAA rules.
Creation and execution of a recruiting plan that will yield talented swimmers who are a good institutional fit. The desire is to have full rosters for both the men's and women's programs. Also included in the plan is the execution of strategies to maximize the retention of all participants in the swim programs.
Serve as the Director of the Kline Center pool. Responsible for hiring, training and scheduling lifeguards for the pool. Establishing hours based on lifeguard availability. Work with the college constituents to keep the facility in good operating condition.
Work with the Advancement and Alumni staff to engage Dickinson alums, families and friends of the swim program. Working together with the Advancement staff, raise funds for the swim program to provide enhancements for the program.
