The mission of Hidden Valley 4-H Camp is to provide youth with a fun, residential camp experience under the guidance of positive role models that emphasize community building, positive social interactions, environmental awareness and skill building.
The Aquatics Manager is responsible for the supervision of the pool, boating program and lifeguard management, including skills trainings. The Aquatics Manager has the option to live on camp live on camp in a cabin with campers, or can live off camp although will need to be present during all Aquatics programs. Some physical requirements of this position could be endurance including prolonged standing, bending, stooping, walking long distances, running, hiking, climbing, and stretching; requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate outdoor equipment and camp activities; requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours with limited or simple equipment and facilities; and with daily exposure to the sun, heat, cold, rain, sun, and other varying weather conditions, and animals such as bugs, snakes, bats, etc. Duration The Aquatics manager will assume this role on June 25, 2021 and include one week of pre-camp staff training and 6 weeks of residential camp that run weekly from Sunday morning at 11:30 to Friday at 5:30. Specific dates camp is open are July 4 -August 13, 2021. The Aquatics Manager will assist with the closure of camp on 8/14 and 8/15 and oversee the proper storage of all supplies and materials for the pool. Essential Functions
